The Tetseo Sisters from Nagaland, who have this innate ability to narrate simple indigenous folklore is very admirable. Similarly, p é r o, a fashion label based in New Delhi, who I feel is responsible for ushering this new wave of celebrating beautiful textiles in India. I was inspired by the merge of these two diverse forms of storytelling. This photo essay was documented in Kohima for p é r o fall-winter 2015.
